Womenade SLO's launch was a huge success! Thank you so much! Thanks to 51 donors, we met our launch goal of $15,000 in just 6 weeks! We have set a summer goal to raise $5,000 so that we can keep saying YES to meeting urgent needs in the city of San Luis Obispo. In June:
TEN referring agents reached out to us on behalf of their clients.
28 households donated so we met every need.
Hundreds of dollars in diapers & wipes were donated via Whiz Kid's Diaper Drive.
$2,670.38 was given to help SLO residents in crisis.
Each need was met within 24 hours.

NEEDS MET IN JUNE 2025
Help with compounding water bill for family who recently lost their husband/father. Referral from Grace Central Coast ($600).
Three scooters and three helmet & protective padding sets to help make the daily trips to school easier for a family. Due to a work hardship, they had to move further away from their home school and no longer qualify for school transportation. Referral from CAPSLO ($177.74).
Car insurance payment for stage IV cancer patient who recently got into low income senior housing. He needs to pay his car insurance so he can secure a parking spot close to the building entrance. Referral from Ashley Hahn at Heart Cancer Resource Center ($172.28).
Rent payment for a mom who had an unexpected increase in rent as well as unexpected car expenses. She’s working on finding a second job to make ends meet. Referral from Heather Todd at Grassroots II ($514.95).
Four nights in a hotel room for a single woman who is homeless with stage IV cancer on low fixed income. Referral from Ashley Hahn at Hearst Cancer Resource Center ($330.40).
Four medications for a cancer patient. Referral from Jessica Reyes at Hearst Cancer Resource Center ($100.93).
Utility bill payment for patient undergoing active treatment for her cancer. Referral from Julie Neiggemann from Hearst Cancer Resource Center ($314.54).
Hotspot so the daughter of a single mother who is homeless and struggling financially can do schoolwork. Referral from Laguna Middle School/Link ($90.00).
Hearing aid for gentlemen living in a senior living community. Referral from Jamie Moothart from Access Central Coast ($217.45).
Utility bill payment for patient on leave from work waiting for disability approval. Referral from Linda Braddy-Argano UCLA Oncology Social Worker ($152.09).
