In early November, Judy Philbin hosted an amazing fundraising concert at Anne Gough’s Adobe Garden on Chorro across from the Mission in SLO. The concert was loved by all attendes and raised over $500 for Womenade SLO! Anne has offered to host events for Womenade SLO in the future; if you're interested in hosting an event there, please reach out! Thank you to Judy and Anne and everyone who attended! |

NEEDS MET IN NOVEMBER 2025
Food and a table for a mother and her 4 children who fled domestic abuse and made it to a safe house. Referral from Carmen Gaitan, Access Central Coast ($411.24).
Title and registration for unhoused gentleman living in his car. He is not able to work due to a mental disability and is staying at the Prado Safe Parking program. Referral from Rita Holland, County of San Luis Obispo Behavioral Health ($277).
Partial rent for a formerly unhoused man who has been hospitalized for 2 weeks and cannot work for another 2 weeks. This loss of pay from his 2 jobs puts him at risk of losing housing. Referral from Ilene Brill, CAPSLO, Housing Stabilization ($600).
Storage for a recently housed senior man to prevent the loss of his belongings. Referral from Ilene Brill, CAPSLO, Housing Stabilization ($200).
Storage for a mother who is struggling due to paying funeral expenses for her daughter. Referral from Adriana Garcia, Dignity Health ($316).
White noise machine, fan, noise-cancelling headphones, weighted blankets, and rugs for a single mother with a toddler dealing with extreme noise disturbances due to an ongoing mental health issue from an apartment neighbor in low-income housing. The noise issues occur throughout the night and keep her toddler awake which is causing stress and health issues. Referral from Ian Kizanis, People’s Self-Help Housing ($393.47).
Gas cards for an unhoused patient to attend medical appointments after several surgeries. Referral from Alejandra Vergara, CommonSpirit Health, Transitional Care ($200).
Utility payment to keep the power on for a domestic violence survivor. Referral from Jennifer Eisen-Kearns, Transitions-Mental Health Association ($210.93).
Hotel stay and baby items for an unhoused mom-to-be who is 36 weeks pregnant. Referral from Terri Wright, San Luis Obispo Church of the Nazarene ($370.87).
Partial medical payment for a patient in need of a biopsy. Referral from Eloisa and Jessica, Hearst Cancer Resource Center ($600).
Two twin mattresses for a woman and her family who was unhoused for 7 years and recently found housing. Angela Frank, Tri-Counties Regional Center ($314.73)
Partial rent for single mother of 2 who works full-time but fell behind due to rising costs of utilities. Referral from Ilene Brill, CAPSLO ($550).
Utility payment to prevent shut off for a mother and her 3 children. Referral from LINK ($267.37).
Partial rent for a family; the husband lost his job and he is unable to pay rent. His wife, who was recovering from medical issues after she lost her job when a company downsized, is not working. Currently both are seeking employment. Referral from Catherine Manning, People’s Self-Help Housing ($515).
A bed for a single mom of 3 kids who have been sleeping on the floor. Referral from Maite Rivera Barriga, The Link Family Resource Center ($78.08).
