Filling gaps, spreading love: one-time essential help for SLO city residents.

Womenade SLO helps to fill the gaps to meet urgent needs for residents in the CITY of San Luis Obispo. We do not connect with clients directly; we rely on referring agents (social workers, teachers, medical professionals, etc) to see and vet needs and reach out to us. We can't wait to partner with you to help serve your client! When filling out the need request please do NOT use your client's name or personal information. If requesting funds ($600 max), they may ONLY be given to third parties (water company, landlord, auto shop). We prefer to use our debit card. If we must use a cashier's check, please give all details needed to ensure the money given to third parties is credited to your client's need.

When filling out the request form, state what is needed and why, and how we can meet the need.

Sample funds request: Father of 3 was unable to work for a month due to illness and fell behind in payments. He needs $195 for PG&E to turn their lights back on. Here is their account number: ___. (Funds would go to PG&E.)

If requesting items, let us know what you need, why, and by when as we will post the need on our social media sites and hope to source the item(s) before purchasing. We will connect you (not your client) and the donor in order to complete the transaction.

Sample item request: Single stroller needed for a mother of a toddler living in a local shelter. It is needed by next Friday. If you end up purchasing it new, the client prefers dark colors. Please deliver it to our agency address.

WHAT DOES YOUR CLIENT NEED?

For UTILITY assistance provide company, account number, house address, and amount.

For PARTIAL RENT, provide the client's physical address, the landlord/company name and address for the check (unless you're picking it up) and amount.

For ITEM requests, provide specific shopping links (Amazon/Target/Walmart) and delivery address.

For GROCERY requests, provide list of all items needed and the delivery address.

WHY is this an urgent need for your client?
